What is the price?

Rates & Discounts:

  • Scooter Base Rate: 800 MXN/day
  • Dual Sport Base Rate: 1400 MXN/day
  • 3+ days: 10% off
  • 7+ days: 25% off
  • 30+ days: 60% off

Additional Services:

  • Pickup/dropoff service: 300 MXN each way
  • Beach kit: 400 MXN flat rate
  • Security deposit: 2000 MXN (Not required for Protection Plan)
  • Optional Worry-free Protection Plan: 200 MXN / day (minus discounts)

Reserve your dates with just 100 MXN deposit (approx. 5 USD). All prices include helmets, insurance, lock, and first tank of gas.

What is a 'Daily' rental?

A daily rental is a 24-hour period.

For example, if you pick up your scooter at 10am, you'll need to return it at or before 10am the next day. This allows you to maximize your rental time and plan your adventures accordingly!

What is included in the rental?

Your rental includes everything you need:

Where is Baja Scoot?

Our garage is located in the La Playita Marina area, just East of San José del Cabo, at the corner of Tiburon and Delfin. While we don't have a storefront or walk-in services, we're happy to accommodate same-day rentals. Just give us a call or message us to check availability before heading over. All visits are by appointment only to ensure we can provide you with the best service.

Can I reserve a scooter for the future?

Yes! You can reserve your exact dates with us, to ensure a scooter will be waiting for you. Just use the booking tool above. We hold scooters reservations for a 100MXN (~5USD) deposit.

Can I have the scooter delivered?

Yes! We will deliver and pickup the scooter within San José del Cabo for a small fee.

Self pick-up and drop-off at our garage in La Playa are free.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we offer two protection plans designed for your peace of mind:

Basic Protection (Included for Free):

  • Includes basic third-party liability insurance from BBVA in Mexico.
  • Requires a 2,000 MXN refundable security deposit.
  • You are responsible for any vehicle damage and personal medical expenses.

Premium Protection (200 MXN/day*):

  • Our worry-free option - NO security deposit required.
  • Complete vehicle damage protection with no questions asked.
  • Personal medical coverage up to 50,000 MXN.
  • Extended third-party liability up to 2M MXN.
  • Return with empty tank - we handle the refuel.
  • +2 hours flexible return time.

*Premium Protection follows our rental discounts: 10% off for 3+ days, 25% off for 7+ days, and 60% off for monthly rentals.

Most riders choose Premium Protection for a carefree adventure. It's the easiest way to enjoy your ride without worrying about deposits or damages.

Where should I go?

Scooters (150cc): Enjoy exploring San José del Cabo and nearby areas on paved roads only. Our scooters are perfect for cruising through downtown, visiting the Art District, relaxing at nearby beaches like Las Torres, Costa Azul, and Palmilla, or enjoying local spots like Puerto Los Cabos, Hotel Ganzo, and Flora Farms. Please note that scooters must remain on paved roads at all times and are not suitable for extended highway travel or rough terrain.

Dual Sport (300cc): For those wanting to venture further, our Dual Sport motorcycles are recommended for trips to Zacatitos, East Cape areas like La Fortuna, or journeys up the Baja peninsula to destinations such as Todos Santos, La Paz, or La Ventana. These versatile bikes can handle both paved and unpaved roads, giving you access to hidden beaches and remote locations.

Safety is our priority, so please respect these boundaries to ensure both your safety and the longevity of our vehicles. With proper use, you'll still have plenty of amazing places to discover!

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept a variety of payment methods for your convenience:
• Cash (USD or MXN), Transfer
• Credit Card (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX)

• Zelle

You only pay when you receive your scooter.

What should I bring?

For scooters, all you need is your valid drivers license from your country. For our Dual Sport motorcycles, you will need your valid Motorcycle License. We'll take a picture of your license, but won't keep any of your documents.

Rented a dual sport and had enough fun the first day that I added a second. The bike is lightweight and easy to handle. It’ll get you up to speed, while not being powerful enough to feel like it could get out from under you. Business-wise, they’re very accommodating and easy to work with. I’ll definitely rent from Baja Scoot next time I’m in town. I’d recommend renting the dual sport over a scooter because you wouldn’t be limited to staying in San Jose Del Cabo and La Playa. You don’t want to ride a scooter to Cabo San Lucas, let alone further west/north. Same goes for heading up the Sea of Cortez side.
